2014: THE CURSED YEAR (Part 1)

O.K, so I saw a post in a website and it was written there that 2014 wasn't the best year for K-pop at all.

Well, I couldn't agree more.

Despite the rise of many prominent K-pop acts like 2NE1 and Taeyang, there were still the major dramas that happened over the years. I actually think that 2014 was a good year for K-pop but then it all went down like Titanic. Let's look back at top 5 what the fxxx just happened this year.

1. Sewol Ferry Accident

At the bitter morning of April 16, A ferry took a wrong turned and killed at least 300 people on board of what was going to be there happiest school vacation ever. The ferry flip on that tragic start when it was going to Jeju island. The events of this was so shocking, even North Korea send there condolence to their southern counterpart.

2. Ladies' Code

The popular South Korean Girl Group from Polaris Entertainment consisting of Ashley, Sojung, Zuny, Eun.B and RiSe didn't escaped the cursed year, as they were involved in an car crash that resulted the death of the two latters. What started as a fun evening turned into disaster. Many people from half of the globe, K-pop fan or Non K-pop fan, send their condolence for the girl group. There was even a conspiracy that it was setup by the 'Idol Killer'.

3. Kris Lawsuit and Jessica's Departure

Can't you give a guy a break, can't ya S.M? The entire EXO, and possibly the entire k-pop fanbase, was shocked when they heard the news that Kris was suing his entertainment label for not being fair to him. This would later remind us of what JYJ and Hangeng  done back in 2009, when they sued their company for unfair treatment (and for Hangeng, a medical condition which the company did not care AT ALL!). And to top it all of, Jessica of G.G/SNSD confirmed that she left the girl group for good due to being forced out of the group as well as for her fashion business (you can't control a fashion diva, SMEnt!!!).This would later plummet SMEnts' investments.

4. Park Bom

As a BLACKJACK, this really upset me. Just as when 2ne1 was about to rise from there shells', a douchebag later said that Park Bom used drugs before she was in the group. And to top it all of, she later cut's herself off from THE ROOMMATES and confirms that she won't be attending SBS Gayo Daejeon. But this didn't stop the girl group from coming out of their shells as the girls would later prove themselves worthy of topping the world, from CL's U.S debut to America;s Next Top Model appearance, 2NE1 just got stronger than before.

5. Malaysia Airlines Tragedy

Korea wasn't the only one who suffered heavy loses. On March of this year, the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 suddenly disappeared with out a trace, even passengers of the plane seemed to have disappeared too. And to top it all of, a plane from the same airline was bombed in Eastern Ukraine, with insurgents claiming they mistook it for a enemy plane.
