TOP 5 DYSTOPIAN K-POP MUSIC VIDEOS

OK, What if you see yourself in a dark distant future, with nothing to do but to overthrow a super-corrupt government and trying to stay alive with your bias, while having the strangest urge to sing and bust a move in front of your personal rebel army and the face of the creepy snow-colored beard you called a president and ripping his throat out. Then you're in a dystopian k-pop music video, filled with HATE and REBELLION and full of funky beats and very fashionable clothes that would put Katniss Everdeen and Tris Prior into their fashion downfall.

So basically, A dystopia is a community or society that is in some important way undesirable or frightening. It is the opposite of a utopia. Such societies appear in many artistic works, particularly in stories set in a future. Dystopias are often characterized by dehumanization, totalitarian governments, environmental disaster, or other characteristics associated with a cataclysmic decline in society. Dystopian societies appear in many sub-genres of fiction and are often used to draw attention to real-world issues regarding society, environment, politics, economics, religion, psychology, ethics, science, and/or technology, which if unaddressed could potentially lead to such a dystopia-like condition.

With that being explained (Thank You WIKIPEDIA, LOL). Let's start counting down the TOP 5 CREEPY DYSTOPIAN K-POP MUSIC VIDEOS

5.) RED LIGHT by f(x)

Never mistake this for the club-banging Tiesto song. This song might be be a potential Zedd remix candidates, but watch out for the glaring dance moves, dark aura, awesome beats and the Brave New World meets A Russian Army-ish Music Video.

4.) FANTASTIC BABY by BIGBANG

Government, whatever you do, never ban music and dance in your country or else we will rebel and kick your ass. With this song that now we call our anthem  and the new flag which is just a poster of Taeyangs abs and the creepy dragon-bear dancers. We will succeed in our evil plot to stop music!!!!

3.) COMEBACK HOME by 2NE1

Probably the most accurate Music Video in terms of Environmental and Technological issues. Inspired by the movie 'The Matrix' with a mix of 'Brave New World', '1984', 'Brazil' and an influence of Cyberpunk. The music video deals with issues like technology, environment, humanity and many others more that could be our near-yet-distant future we'll have if we don't act now.

2.) GRASSHOPPER SONG by Sunny Hill

Though not much apocalyptic or anywhere dystopian. But at least it has that one element that every other dystopian movies, films and MVs have. There actually one person defying the ruler's regime, and how does the person do it, simple, by being lazy and not doing anything, due to the fact there's more to life than just working and working on a dead-end job. Plus, this is somewhat very dystopic in comes of social issues. Ants are hereby force by the Queen Ant to work and yet the other insects play and do nothing yet still has something to gain, which might reflect the suicide rate in South Korea, by being very boring and working something that usually leads to nothing, you might just be the pawn or the jester of 'the man'.

1.) SIXTH SENSE by Brown Eyed Girls

The most top and very Dystopic in our countdown. The entire music video just actually made us feel like we're in a part of there cause to stop something. The most very accurate of all dystopian K-pop music videos. Not only did the MV made us feel strong and empowered, but also the North Korean-esq music which might find very creepy.
